Bruce Bochy: “I Was Sitting In My Recliner In Nashville Enjoying Myself…”
Well they did it… The Texas Rangers are the World Series Champions.
On Wednesday night, they secured their first ever franchise title with a decisive 5-0 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 5. The pitching dual was intense. At least up until the 7th once the Rangers scored their first run, then it was open season from there.
Bruce Bochy, Head Coach of the Rangers, retired in 2019, then received a phone call 3 years later to coach the Rangers. You can say Bochy helped carry this team to a World Series after “sitting in my recliner in Nashville enjoying myslef”, he said, in the post game interview.
Probably could’ve used some better words there Bochy… But hey, what you do is your business and apparently it works.
